Hey! My name is Tyler Thomas, and I am a B.A. Graduate in Art with a Minor in Theater History.

I spent my time studying at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, a part of the Rutgers University New Brunswick Campus, where I not only received studio art and media production training, but also worked with acting professors and historians to better my understanding of Performance. This has allowed me to approach creative ideas from both a visual and theatrical perspective. All of this while keeping part-time employment, and clocking over 200+ internship hours at the Mason Gross Galleries and the Williams Center Event Venue in my senior year alone.

Having completed my degree, I've gained experience in drawing, illustration, printmaking, graphic design, media post-production, and creative project development. On top of this, my theater studies and 16 years of stage experience showed me the collaborative nature of theatrical performances, filmmaking, and media production. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, made me a more adaptable artist, and helped me understand how to navigate a creative space with many moving parts. From 1st to 12th Grade, I performed in every single school play or musical, joined the Thespian Honor Society, and became the Vice President in Junior Year, and was even in the running for a Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award in 2022 for my performance as Sammy in The Wedding Singer.

My interests and experience span multiple areas of these creative industries, like graphic design, illustration, concept development, production design, set design, film and television production, theater, and visual art. Opportunities that allow me to combine artistic creativity with some kind of storytelling vehicle are the ones I tend to gravitate to, and I'm always interested in working with other creatives on collaborative projects or assignments.
